I photograph landscapes, cityscapes, and the combinations of both, drawn to whatever is beautiful in the light in front of me.
Different subjects ask for different pictures. A ridge line wants patience and a long view; a skyline wants straight lines and precision; a place where the two meet wants both at once. What they share is craft — the exposure set exactly, the frame measured, and nothing left to chance that could have been controlled.
The aim is the same every time: the most striking, highest-quality photograph the scene will allow. Technique is the part that can be learned and repeated, and it is what lets the beauty of a place come through at full size.
Exposure details are taken from the files themselves and written into the page at build time, so they describe the photograph rather than my memory of it.
Colour is left close to what the camera recorded. Some frames are adjusted for contrast and exposure, but nothing is added or removed.
