Photography

Landscapes, cityscapes, and the places where they meet.

Photographs of open nature, of built ground, and of the seams between them — a shoreline under a skyline, a treeline against rooftops. Each frame is made with the technical care to get the most out of what the light gives.

Snow-covered ground and dark buildings beneath a black sky, street lamps lighting a path and a low hill.
Night snow
The inside of an old-fashioned sweet shop, wooden shelves and glass jars on one side lit by warm lamps and a passage of pick-and-mix bins on the other.
The sweet shop
A long waterfront building lit warm yellow along a harbour, dark storm clouds above and the light reflected in the water.
Blue hour harbour
A sunlit slope of dry grass in the foreground with a town spread across a wooded valley under a blue sky with white cloud.
Above the town
A night view along a waterfront from a wooden deck, a canal and a low bridge in the middle, a lit stone building and coloured lamps on the left, a floodlit construction site reflected in the water on the right.
